After winning the most coveted crown, Beatrice Gomez took to Instagram on Sunday to express her gratitude to those who played a role in her success as the new Miss Universe Philippines 2021.

On Instagram, Beatrice shared a photo of herself after winning the title with the crown and sash.

“BREAKING THE BARRIERS”, wrote Beatrice in the caption of her message.

“No words can describe the pride and honor with which I have been endowed, from being a delegate charged with representing my home, Cebu City, to an ambassador and servant leader of my beloved country, the Philippines,” a- she added.

The Cebuana beauty queen said she felt “indebted to the people who have come together with my causes and my journey to represent my community and shed light on the diversity of women.”

She thanked everyone who “never doubted” her potential and saw the value of what she is capable of, mentioning her fans BEAbies, Origin Management, world famous Filipino designer Furne Amato, Sven Chua of Origin and his Binibining Cebu family, among others.

Bea, who is also a reservist, also mentioned how grateful she is to the entire Eastern Visayas Naval Reserve Center and the 82nd Marine Battalion Reserve.

Beatrice made history last Thursday when she became the first openly open member of the LGBTQIA + community to win the Miss Universe Philippines crown.
