There is still a bit of a wait before the second season of by netflix The witcher is about to drop, but the franchise’s very first virtual event will soon help fans overcome the wait. Held on July 10, WitcherCon will feature a range of activities and segments that fans wouldn’t want to miss, with a schedule of shows offering a glimpse of what to expect.
Hosted by UK TV presenter Julia Hardy, WitcherCon will kick off with the Witcher Season 2: Deck of DestinyYes presentation, which involves showrunner Lauren Schmidt Hissrich and several other cast members pulling cards from a fan question game to determine the path of the panel and the fate of the guests involved. Each map could potentially provide a behind-the-scenes glimpse and even some surprise reveals about the panelists’ journeys during their season 2 shoot.
The first segment will then be followed by Memories of the CD PROJEKT RED path: stories behind the Witcher games. This is the section where game developers from The witcher franchise discuss its evolution over the years.
In addition, the main creators of Witcher games as well as The witcher The Netflix team will be able to test their knowledge of the universe through a pub-style game. Fans can also expect to hear behind-the-scenes information and previews whenever the panel gets the right answers in this segment titled Geralt of T-Rivia.
To close the festivities, the show will end with a Tales of the White Wolf showcase that features a conversation in the spotlight between Henry Cavill and host actor Josh Horowitz. With The witcher currently in post-production for season 2, maybe we could just get a hint or two from Cavill himself.
WitcherCon will air for the first time on July 10 at 1 a.m. SGT and can be streamed on Netflix Youtube and Twitch Channel, each platform having its own exclusive content. The second stream will then be broadcast on Twitch and Youtube at 9:00 a.m. SGT July 10.
