Angel Investor Network FAAD Network led an angel funding round in Navars Edutech Pvt Ltd, a student-oriented astronomy and space technology company.

Sravan Varma Datla, co-founder and CEO of Navars Edutech, told VCCircle that the company will use the funds primarily for marketing and expansion in India and global markets. Datla did not provide financial details.

The angel investor network typically invests between $ 50,000 and $ 500,000 in the start-up and pre-series stages.

Navars Edutech was founded in 2015 as a partnership company. It was incorporated at the end of 2019. The startup offers online astronomy courses, DIY astronomy kits, planetarium shows on school premises, as well as astronomy labs and centers of learning. experience. It also hosts the National Science and Astronomy Olympiad (NASO) which saw the participation of more than 50,000 students from 13 countries.

The startup claims to have served more than 800 schools and reached more than 300,000 students in 13 countries.

Datla noted that astronomy has gained ground with its inclusion in the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 and with recent announcements and achievements by the Indian Space Research Organization (Isro).

Besides Datla, the other co-founder of Navars Edutech is Shanthala Gopal, who is responsible for content and operations. Board member Dinesh Prasad is also part of the core strategy, marketing and investments team.

Aditya Arora, CEO of Faad Network, said the space is full of mysteries and has become an interesting topic lately.

“Navars Edutech fits perfectly into the theme for us by teaching astronomy and space technology classes to students in grades 4 through 12. We see adoption accelerate and believe in the competence of the team. to be delivered on the ground, ”he added.

The origin of FAAD Network dates back to 2015. It was founded by Karan Verma and Dinesh Singh, and began by providing a range of start-up services such as legal, content and public relations services, commercial documentation and the twinning of the co-founders. Aditya Arora joined the group as an intern in 2016 and was promoted to CEO at the start of 2019. He set up his network of business angels at the end of 2019.

It has an independent approach to the industry, but focuses on electronic technologies, online gaming, healthcare and wellness. It also aims to invest in startups engaged in augmented reality / virtual reality technologies and digital applications.

FAAD Network’s investments include Huviair, a cloud-based productivity improvement platform for the construction and mining industry; Blu Smart, an electric taxi calling and riding platform; and Saarthi, an educational platform that helps aspirants prepare for government jobs.
