Hello, readers! As the spring term begins to wind down, I would like to say thank you to anyone who has read any of my articles or found an interest in astrology. I am very grateful to have been able to share my knowledge and my passion for the planets with you. Last time around, we talked about the expected summer energies and broke those emotions down for each zodiac sign. By correspondence I wanted to provide a discussion of the main astrological events that will occur during the summer months of June, July and August. This way you will be able to come back to this article and have a virtual reminder of all the upcoming situations.
Our first event is June 2 where Venus enters the Cancer placement. Venus is our planet of love, and Cancer is known to be quite an emotional sign. Our relationships will be unexpectedly overwhelmed by sensitivity and vulnerability. If this is something that you are used to, then this energy could bring you closer to romantic partners or friends. If you are generally more contemplative this energy can feel youthful and weird, you might feel clingy and crave human interaction. It’s temporary, but do your best to embrace these feelings warmly.
June 10 brings the solar eclipse with a new moon. These two events will bring an intense amount of change and rebirth. The solar eclipse will push you to resist big changes while the new moon will encourage you to start making new plans. The shock of emotions will be powerful and alarming, so prepare yourself accordingly. Write down all your desires on the night of the new moon and make sure your mind is clear.
On June 11, Mars enters the Leo placement. Fasten your seat belts as these two make a dramatic duo. You will feel immense intensity in your fields of anger, desire, excitement and passion in general. Use this time to be a little selfish and get what you want in life. Don’t let negative or narcissistic people rob you of your happiness. Now is not the time to go too far and become self-centered, but it is just time for you.
Cancer season officially begins on June 20. You might immediately think: it’s crying season! But that’s not all Cancers have to offer. Cancer season is a time of patience, openness, and empathy. Now is the perfect time to visit a loved one you may have missed during the pandemic. Take a trip to see your parents, grandparents or a significant other from a distance. You will feel a deep sense of comfort in longing and love. It is important to get comfortable during this time of weakness. Take it slow and be strong.
Jupiter also goes retrograde on June 20, which will bring a lot of emotional energy with the Cancer season. Jupiter is our personal growth planet, so its retrogression will call for some thought. It’s time to analyze your recent life choices and notice where you are today. It can make you a little anxious, but there is no need to worry. Jupiter wants you to take this time to make a fresh start and start acting on your new moon plans.
On June 25, Neptune also becomes retrograde. This retrograde will last nearly six months and end on December 2. Remember Neptune is our dream planet, therefore, you will experience a bit of ego death here. Expect a change of mind or awareness. There is nothing to fear as Neptune wants us to be in our most peaceful state. Free yourself from any possible negativity in your current life and devote time to art or self-expression.
Venus enters the Leo placement on June 27, which will change the previous energy we were feeling at the start of the month. The Leo energy drama will enter our loving planet, making our relationships passionate, playful, and flirtatious. Platonic and romantic relationships will get a pinch of spice. It can also be a good time for self-esteem, as your self-confidence can be boosted.
On July 11, Mercury will enter the Cancer placement. This will make communication a bit difficult as you will have a hard time being clear about what you are thinking. Your inner child might come out of hiding to remind you who you once were. In order to overcome the struggles that accompany this event, you will need to be very patient and considerate of others.
On July 21, Venus enters the placement of Virgo. Venus is moving rapidly in its orbit, so we are experiencing another energy shift. Meanwhile, love and passion will feel a bit robotic to you, you might feel strangely still or bossy. This can be good for some people who need a little tidiness. For others, it might take away the fun and excitement of love. Try not to become easily frustrated if your loved ones behave in a cold or different way. Use this time for moving forward and not for assertiveness.
The Lion season arrived on July 22. It’s time to make some transitions to focus on yourself. You might experience an increased sense of confidence or self-esteem. The Lion season invites us to express who we really are and to be adventurous. You will see great results if you act spontaneously and treat life like a movie. Try something new during this time, whether it’s a food or a hobby.
Mercury enters the Leo placement on July 27. Communication should now be reestablished from the previous Cancer placement. Things will feel more joyful and lighter as Leo brings us lively energy. Be your most social self during this time. Go out with friends, meet new people and just have fun!
On July 29, Mars enters the placement of the Virgin. This energy can be really alarming, but it is actually very useful. Our passion and our aggressiveness will be more stifled and calm. Your emotions may seem a bit buried, but that doesn’t necessarily mean bad things. Our emotions only hide like a period of hibernation. This could cause difficulty as feelings become closed and inaccessible, so make plans to express yourself healthily.
Mercury then enters the Virgo placement on August 11. Communication will become a bit more stagnant and simplistic, but you can use it to your advantage! Now is the perfect time for serious communication or negotiations, as things seem more orderly. However, be careful not to take things too seriously here. Don’t overthink things and stress yourself out even more.
On August 16, Venus enters the Libra placement, bringing happy and loving feelings into our relationships. Now there are two ways that this could be happening for you, so pay attention to how you might be feeling. One can feel extremely connected and excited with all of their relationships. Another may feel overwhelmed by these feelings and detach themselves from the people around them. Overall, don’t let these emotions take hold of you and take hold of you. Relax and be yourself.
Uranus becomes retrograde on August 19. Uranus is our self-sufficient planet, which could add a bit of chaos to our lives. Most people will not be ready to suddenly see such revealing emotions arise. Uranus will want us to see through all the stress and worries that usually cloud our minds. These problems will dissipate and leave behind essential survival struggles. Now is the time to reflect on what you really think is best for you versus what other people think is right for you. Make the choices you want as it could greatly affect your future.
The Virgo season begins on August 22. It means business! Virgo energy is known to bring productivity and motivation within ourselves. During this time, you may want to prepare for school, work, or any other upcoming project. You can try new recipes, a new workout routine, or wake up earlier. Anything you think of that could add liveliness to your life would work well here. Remember not to push yourself too hard to stress yourself out. Virgo season is all about being the best in yourself.
On August 30, Mercury enters the Libra placement. Communication will continue to be light and social. Now is the time to do those last minute summer plans and feel alive. Go see friends or plan a fun day out with your best friend. You could even use this energy to communicate with yourself. Journal, paint, or find expressive activity that might reveal underlying emotions. It might help you keep your cool and be successful.
