Harley-Davidson “Dark Knight” is not the typical Batman ride, fits perfectly into the universe

The term Dark Knight has been used over the years as a descriptor for a lot of things, but the most famous of all has to be Batman. The two were linked for eternity in 2008, when Christopher Nolan’s Dark Knight was released. And for some reason, the term seems a perfect fit for the custom Harley-Davidson we have here.

Gotham’s beloved / hated hero has over the years had a large number of vehicles at his disposal to fight crime. When it comes to two-wheeled gear, the most famous is the Batcycle, which in some iterations (read comics) is an undisclosed brand custom street bike.

The first time the Batcycle was featured on screen was in the 1960s hero television series, when for one episode only a Harley-Davidson with a sidecar was used. After that, most of the nondescript two-wheelers were rolled out.

The bike you see here, formerly an original 2006 V-Rod, wasn’t designed specifically for the Caped Crusader, but it probably wouldn’t have a problem fitting into the superhero universe. . Driving on a 280 rear wheel conversion and wearing an all-black body kit, the ride also comes with an aftermarket exhaust system and progressive suspension setup.

The modifications to the American muscle bike aren’t that extensive (you can check out all the additional details here), but they’re effective at getting the point across of a build that’s designed to impress.

The thing was put together by a German custom shop specializing in V-Rods and other Milwaukee machines, which is called X-Trem. And since these guys aren’t used to telling people not directly involved how much a project costs, we aren’t able to tell you the cost of the conversion.

Either way, it’s probably just lunch money for Bruce Wayne.
