The NEAgTech team is led by Rob wolf with the Alain brothers, Paul and Tony Alves from the masonry of the lighthouse to New Bedford, MA with a construction managed by Tim vulture from TriCon builders. According to Wolf, “This may be the first opportunity in Massachusetts for the average person to own anything in the cannabis industry. Massachusetts has emerged as one of the hottest cannabis markets in the world with annual sales expected to exceed $ 2 billion by the end of the year. Most people don’t have the knowledge or the resources to go downstairs, but we’re making that possibility a reality with Fundanna’s crowdfunding program. “

The company has completed site acquisition and local permits, as well as initial site clearing and construction preparations. The result of extensive property searches along the Route 2 corridor, this 4.55-acre cleared industrial land was the last available parcel of the Orange Industrial Economic Commission and purchased by NEAgTech in 2019 on very favorable terms. Approximately 3 acres are dedicated to this “outdoor crop” starting in the second quarter of 2021. New investors from the crowdfunding effort will receive a convertible note for the shares sold by NEAgTech in Grow Space Orange, Inc. The full prospectus and details will also be on the Fundanna Crowdfunding Platform at Fundanna.com.

Two separate growing companies each have leases with the company for the space and farm assets, allowing growers to focus on growing without the additional development burdens. Antonio “Tony” Alves is the managing member of CanGrow, LLC and will lease 56,000 square feet of secure growing area in which 40,000 square feet has been designed as a functional awning. Tony is from Portugal with a family history in traditional agriculture. Kaily Hepburn is a Springfield, MA real estate lawyer specializing in cannabis licensing and cultivation activities and managing member of Meadows of flowers of the sun, LLC. Like CanGrow, Sunflower leases another 56,000 square foot section on which an additional 40,000 square feet of cannabis is planned.

CanGrow and Meadows of flowers of the sun have completed their community hearings and signed their Host Community Agreements (HCAs) with the City of Orange and submitted their formal requests to the Massachusetts Cannabis Commission. NEAgTech has received site approval and is going through the site review process with city officials with an initial permit pending for exterior fencing and security systems. Bohler Engineering has completed the initial engineering designs for the site and construction is slated to be completed from this fall, ready for spring 2022.

One of the unique aspects of this project is the planned use of sustainable resources, including solar electricity to power indoor and outdoor lighting and security systems. With a combination of greenhouses and specially equipped container buildings, Grow Space Orange equips the site to have the least possible impact on the environment. To mitigate odors, the outer perimeter is planted with lavender and peppermint, and the drying buildings for post-harvest preparation are sealed with specially designed dehumidification systems.

Although the terms of the HCA agreements with the City of Orange are exclusive, the company is committed to providing valuable time and money resources to the City of Orange and has provided assurance that this operation will not only be fully compliant with all laws and regulations, but it will also be a good neighbor in the industrial park community. Grow Space Orange will be one of the first of many other cannabis operations that have been proposed for the City of Orange but failed to materialize due to incomplete planning or funding. The NEAgTech team is committed to the execution of this project and the crowdfunding effort reflects the detailed planning and resources that have been targeted in this project.
