Judge Block Darren Palmer buys stunning new $3.85 home in Byron Bay

They opted for the quieter parkland of Suffolk rather than the bustling city, splashing out $3.85million on a swanky home just 100 yards from Tallow Beach.

Featuring a saltwater swimming pool, overlooked by a wooden entertaining area in tropical gardens, the two-level house spans 720 m². It backs onto the bush, with a path leading down to the beach from the back door.

It has four bedrooms, all located upstairs. Three have access to its wrap-around balcony. The dining room and family room open to the outdoor entertaining area.

The house was sold by McGrath Byron Bay agents Ian Daniels and Susan Whyte.

The late 1980s home last sold for $770,000 in 2005, with the pool added just a few years ago. There are plans in place for further extension and refurbishment.

Palmer and Dullivard celebrated their 11th birthday together in the New Year in Byron. Palmer posted to his 192,000 Instagram followers posing against a palm tree at the beach, as did Dullivard.

Palmer joins fellow Channel 9 The Block judge Shelley Craft which is permanently installed there. Just like former candidate Brad Cranfield who is now a real estate agent in the city.

There was talk last year that the home improvement show would be based there this year, but they couldn’t find enough neighbors to sell.

Palmer and Dullivard are based in Bondi Beach in a home bought for $2.98 million in 2015 when the couple moved from Edgecliff.
