SUNNYVALE, Calif., Aug.25, 2021 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) – Matterport, Inc. (Nasdaq: MTTR), the leading spatial data company driving the digital transformation of the built world, today announced the release in version Open Beta of Notes, a real-time conversational team collaboration, communication and file sharing tool directly in the Matterport digital twins. With Notes, buyers and renters can invite friends and family to locate and visually mark their favorite rooms and features of a property; corporate teams in the workplace can collaborate on space planning and office layout; and businesses can manage facilities, assign tasks, and make key operational decisions faster across a portfolio of remote sites.

Using Notes, users can have conversations directly in a Matterport space. Anyone invited to a space can ask questions or add comments, view, reply to and create conversation threads, and receive instant email notifications when new activity occurs. New users can be easily added via @mentions. Plus, multiple users can securely share and access files and engage in rich discussion threads that include attachments, images, documents, and videos. With built-in privacy features, only invited attendees can view and comment on grades, even if a Matterport space is publicly accessible.

Notes also provides task management capabilities within the digital twin, including functionality for resolving a task note when completed and categorizing tasks with hashtags and colors. File downloads in the Digital Twins are securely stored in the Matterport Cloud and accessible only to those with access to the space. All of these features can be applied at scale across an entire portfolio of enterprise-level projects and properties.
