Spawn Universe Launches First-Ever Team Book With The Scorched

Image Comics launches the very first team book in the Spawn universe with The Scorched showing all of Spawn’s allies in an epic way!

The very first team book in the Spawn the universe is preparing to hit the shelves with Burns # 1. 2021 has been dubbed the year of the spawning by Picture comics because three separate titles broke sales records for the comic book distributor, and Image therefore kicks off 2022 with the most epic Spawn title again – a brand new team comic. After 30 years of the current monthly Spawn delivered, Burns will bring together the characters first introduced in the original series and set them off on an adventure that pits the realms of Heaven, Hell and Earth against each other with the Spawn characters. It’s a cast that includes Reaper, Spawn, Redeemer, Gunslinger, Medieval Spawn, and She-Spawn to name a few.

The creative talent behind the new Spawn Team up book is a book that will undoubtedly take the series to new heights. The writer of the series is Sean Lewis, who is responsible for other Image comics, including Saints, the few, and Coyotes. The artists behind the book are Stephen Segovia, who worked on Batman, Superwoman, and The Green Lantern titles, and Paulo Sequeira with one of their most recent works, including Marvel Comics Wolverine: black, white and blood.

“The Scorched # 1 is set to become a new record title”, said Spawn Image Comics creator and president Todd McFarlane in a publisher press release. McFarlane has been thrilled with this ambitious new era of the Spawn books, and the results speak for themselves. King Spawn # 1 received over half a million pre-orders alone before the book was even published, which kicked off the year of the spawn and created momentum for the other new ones. Spawn securities. For McFarlane, however, it’s not all about how many issues he sells, but the storytelling process and how much fun he and his team have in telling those stories in a much larger way. Speaking specifically about the next The Brûlé, McFarlane adds, “We’re having fun creating a whole new team book with new storylines, old and new superhero characters.”


As a new team comic unfolds in the Spawn The universe is quite exciting, McFarlane is upping the stakes with several variations of the first issue’s covers from a number of different artists, himself included, with only a limited number of them being released. The covers are created by renowned artists Puppeteer Lee, Brett Booth, Greg Capullo, Don Aguillo, Marc Silvestri and Ryan Stegman with copying incentives by McFarlane and Capullo. Brett Booth will make their cover stand out, however, by interconnecting it with King Spawn # 1 and Gunslinger Spawn # 1 to form an epic work of art.

Burns # 1 will feature forty-eight epic pages depicting all of Spawn’s hellish glory as well as an eight-part cover showcasing some of the best talent in the industry to celebrate this inaugural launch of the all-new series. With an already huge team and many others “while waiting behind the scenes”, Burns # 1 seems set to really pay off on the promise of Universe of appearance, and will mark the first entry into the team of the beloved franchise when it arrives at digital and physical retailers.
