African start-ups share center stage at North Star Dubai

Launched as GITEX Future Stars in 2016, the new North Star Dubai in 2022 reflects the continued evolution of the global start-up ecosystem and the important role start-ups play in fostering innovation and international business collaboration.

Alongside a specially curated matchmaking program, North Star Dubai will showcase for the first time “Africa Fast 100”, the largest gathering of African start-ups ever held outside of Africa, connecting investors with Unicorn prospects of the second largest continent in the world.

North Star Dubai’s hugely popular four-day Supernova startup competition is also back, inviting the best local, regional and international start-ups to pitch their disruptive ideas and compete for the ultimate prize of USD 200,000.

As a host city, Dubai is one of the most innovative and technologically advanced cities in the world. GITEX GLOBAL is aligned with Dubai’s digital transformation strategy, based on cutting-edge applications in AI, metaverse, smart cities and attracting top ICT talent and coders.
