Developed by Emmy Award-winning Kevin and Dan Hageman (Troll hunters and Ninjago) the animated series in CG Star Trek: Prodigy is the first Star Trek series aimed at a younger audience and will follow a motley team of young aliens who must figure out how to work together while navigating a larger galaxy in search of a better future. These six young outcasts know nothing about the ship they requisitioned – a first in the history of the Star Trek franchise – but during their adventures together, they will each discover Starfleet and the ideals it represents. Produced by Nickelodeon Animation Studio and CBS Studios, Star Trek: Prodigy will premiere on Paramount + in the US later this year.
Star Trek: Lower Bridges
following Star Trek: Prodigy, rejoin Star Trek: Lower Bridges voice cast members Tawny Newsome, Jack Quaid and Eugene Cordero alongside creator Mike McMahan for an exclusive conversation and extended look at the second season. Season 2 is bigger, funnier, and Star Trekkier than ever. Fans can expect weird, new (and familiar) aliens to challenge the crews of the USS Cerritos and the USS Titan. For Mariner, Tendi, Rutherford and Boimler, the animated adventure has only just begun.
Season 2 of Star Trek: Lower Bridges will be presented on Thursday, August 12. Developed by Emmy Award winner Mike McMahan (Rick and morty, Solar opposites), Star Trek: Lower Bridges focuses on the support crew serving on one of Starfleet’s smaller ships, the USS Cerritos, in 2380. Ensigns Mariner, Boimler, Rutherford and Tendi must cope with their homework and social life, often while the ship is rocked by a multitude of sci-fi anomalies.
