Have you thought about watching the “Power” show but aren’t sure if it’s something you’d like to indulge in? Well, let’s go over it, okay?
The “Power” series is one of the most popular series aired on Starz. This show was created by Courtney A. Kemp and Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson.
They gathered their personal experiences and developed all the characters.
Jackson used her past experiences before becoming what we call “50 Cent” to give Kemp some inspiration while she was writing.
Since the show started in 2014, it has grown by 10 million viewers per episode, and it is the most-watched show on the network, according to the Washington Post.
“Power Book III: Raising Kanan,” a fictional series based on a few non-fictional events, is a prequel that highlights the early years of Kanan Stark’s life and what made him what he was. The original series was “Power” and the sequel was “Power Book II: Ghost”. It is now followed by “Power Book III: Raising Kanan”.
This is what we call the “Power” universe. “Power Book II: Ghost” focused on Kanan Stark’s mentee, Ghost, where we are introduced to Kanan and his cousin Laverne, also known as “Jukebox,” whose youngest is also in ” Power Book III: Raising Kanan “.
This fictional series is thrilling, violent and realistic for some people who were raised in similar environments. “Power Book III: Raising Kanan” gives you an idea of what it was like to be a young African American teenager in the early 90s living in Brooklyn. The show offers feelings similar to those of “Belly”,
Boyz N the Hood ”and“ Jus. ”This even includes social issues such as racism, police brutality, homophobia, and other major social issues.
This show delves into the life of Kanan Stark, played by Mekai Curtis, Stark’s mother Raquel Thomas, played by Patina Miller, Stark Laverne’s cousin “Jukebox”, Stark’s uncles Lou-Lou Thomas and Marvin Thomas, played by Malcolm Mays and London Brown. The actors do a phenomenal job of holding the audience’s attention and getting involved in their roles. The actors chosen to play these roles were perfectly chosen and perfectly fill the characters of their characters.
The entire “Power” series is a must see if you’re a fan of ’90s movies,’ 90s culture, action, thrillers, and heartfelt soap operas. With the support of viewers, this show is going nowhere anytime soon. The Starz Network can be viewed on any app-enabled TV and via cable services with an additional monthly fee.
