UMaine Museums, astronomy center open to the public

The University of Maine’s Hudson Museum, Zillman Museum of Art, Page Farm and Home Museum, and Versant Power Astronomy Center have reopened to the public with updated health and safety guidelines in place; Face coverings are mandatory inside all university and museum buildings, regardless of vaccination status.

The public can visit the Hudson Museum inside the Collins Center for the Arts Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Free entry. Find information about the museum’s collections, digital resources and current exhibitions online.

The Zillman Museum of Art at 40 Harlow Street in downtown Bangor is now open to the public Tuesday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Admission is free thanks to a grant from Birchbrook. Visit the Zillman Art Museum website for details on current exhibitions.

The Page Farm and Home Museum has reopened its doors to the public with new hours, Wednesday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Free entry. Faculty, staff, students and friends of the UMaine page can also visit by appointment outside of normal business hours by calling 207-581-4100 or by requesting an appointment on the museum site. website. The Versant Power Astronomy Center has also reopened at full capacity with a diverse range of summer activities. Tickets are mandatory and can be purchased at the ticket office of the astronomy center, online, or by calling 207-581-1341 during regular business hours. Advanced purchases are recommended.
