Zodiac signs predict what 2022 has in store for your explosive love life

However, if I’m being honest I had a hell of a good time! From a cute lockdown bubble buddy to getting a few experts on my podcast to teach me how to date a much better (and healthier) one, this year has given me plenty of time to think and think about some bad dating habits I had. I threw myself into (Umm… thanks for the confinement ?!) and I would like to say that I am doing better.

Yes, the “bad boys” and “projects” are left in 2021 and guys with hopes, goals and aspirations are on my hit list in 2022.

It is with this in mind that I decided to invite a brilliant astrologer by the name of Natasha Weber to my Kind of dating a little podcast to find out what we all have in store for our love lives in 2022.

And my friends, it looks promising… promising indeed! Mostly Taurus, Scorpio, Leo and Aquarius.

To begin with, we are currently in a Venus retrograde that began on December 19 and continues through January 29. Now, if you’re like me, the word retrograde tends to make you shiver … but it can actually do a lot of good, you just have to buckle up for a ride.

Now is the time to focus on the changes you want to make when it comes to dating and relationships. This is a great time to change your “type”. So if like me you have gone for unapproachable men then you are going to start thinking about going for a guy who is sweet, kind and open to a relationship. BE PRAYING!

Such a hot tip: You need to take the retrograde to get real with yourself and decide what kind of partner you are looking for in 2022.

Natasha warned, however, that retrograde Venus is also known to bring exes back. Yes, be prepared for a visit from former partners from the past.

Why? Natasha explained that the universe will keep trying to teach you a lesson until you learn from it. So that means if you let a guy walk on you, he’ll keep bringing him (or someone who looks like him) back into your life until you learn how to tell them to stop once and for all! Let’s face it, you deserve better.

Alternatively, Natasha said that it might also teach you how to open up and communicate with your ex about how you feel in a healthy and direct way, and you can just get the happiness you’ve always wanted.

It’s called hardballing, which I may have mentioned in the column last week. Seriously, that’s not a bad trait to bring in 2022.

Natasha warned that, because Venus retrogrades in the first month of 2022, it will truly be a ‘make or break’ period for couples, so it’s time to have these deep and meaningful things and decide what you really want.

Now spoiler alert: Natasha has given Capricorns, Cancers, Aries and Libra a slight warning – thanks to retrograde Venus – you’re the ones going to find this first month of the year the toughest. Yes, she went so far as to say that it would be you who would get dumped or do the emptying. Uh!

She did say, however, that it could be a blessing in disguise and you’ll end up with the worst at the start of the year. Guess you could think of that as getting rid of the mud and then having the rest of the year to live your best life?

When I squeezed Natasha on which astrological signs work magically in love, she offered me a little cheat sheet. It turns out that matching items will always make good matches. So, fire signs – such as Leo, Aries, and Sagittarius will always be a good match. Just like the water signs (Cancer, Scorpio and Pisces), the earth signs (Taurus, Virgo, Capricorn) and the air signs (Gemini, Libra, Aquarius).

So, as a Leo, the next time I go to the bar, I’m going to start asking around right away if there’s a single Aries and Sagittarius in the room. #No shame

However, don’t stress out if you’re with someone with an astrological sign outside of your element, it just means you have to dig deep into your birth chart – which you can do online – and see if their other signs ascenders work with your ascending signs. Sheesh it’s detailed isn’t it!

The good news is, while Natasha experienced what each star sign had in store for their love life this year, it was all pretty exciting!

As a final word of warning, although she did mention one important thing. If you are planning to get married this year, make sure it is not when the mercury is retrograde! No important documents, such as a marriage certificate, need to be signed at this time.
