Brokerages, gallery, lender and bank take place at 20 West 55th Street – Trade Observer

A brokerage, art gallery, investment bank and business loan provider took a total of 21,000 square feet to Skyline Real Estate Partners20 West 55th Streetlearned Commercial Observer.

The largest of the four transactions comes from stock brokerage Auerbach-Graysonwho renewed his lease for 6,579 square feet on the entire fourth floor, according to the landlord broker Newmark. He was represented by Joseph Harkin and George Versea of Cushman and Wakefieldwho did not respond to a request for comment.

Rehs Galleries also nabbed 6,579 square feet on the fifth floor and plans to move from 5 East 57th Street. The gallery — featuring works by 19th-century painters in the Barbizon, Realist and Naturalist styles — was represented by woody king, Alain Friedman and Richard Plehn of Lee & Associates. The brokers did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

S.O.S. Capital signed up for 4,462 square feet in penthouse space, which includes an outdoor terrace. The finance company was 1330 Avenue of the Americas and was represented by Ben Blumental and Ashlynn Fletcher of Noah and company. The brokerage did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

In the smallest matter, Calex Partners, an investment bank that helps companies through mergers and acquisitions, signed a new lease for 3,717 square feet on the second floor and negotiated the transaction internally. Calex didn’t immediately respond to a request for comment, but he seems to be taking up space already.

Newmark declined to provide asking rents or lease terms.

The new offerings represent about one-fifth of the 104,000-square-foot, 14-story Midtown building where Skyline recently renovated its lobby, elevators and HVAC system, according to Newmark.

“As generational landlords, Skyline Development is focused on building quality spaces that meet the needs of today’s office tenants,” said Newmark. Guillaume Cohenwho represented the owner in the four transactions with JD Cohen, Jarad Winter and Ariel Harwood. “This has allowed the building to retain existing tenants and attract new ones.”
