While Divita Rai was crowned Miss Diva Universe 2022, the LIVA Miss Diva Supranational 2022 crown was given to Pragnya Ayyagari from Telangana. Pragnya was crowned by Miss Supranational Asia 2022 Ritika Khatnani. Ojasvi Sharma has been crowned Miss Popular Choice 2022.
Although Divita Rai spent her formative years in Mumbai, she was born in the port city of Mangalore in Karnataka. After studying at Sir JJ College of Architecture in Mumbai, Divika pursued a career as an architect. She also did modeling assignments in her spare time. Although she has always had a keen interest in basketball and badminton, reading books and listening to music have been her favorite hobbies. Divita Rai had previously entered the Miss Diva Universe pageant in 2021. This was the same pageant in which Harnaaz Sandhu was declared the winner. Last year, Divita Rai was 2nd runner-up in the Miss Diva pageant.
While giving an interview to a publication, Divita shared that she had a very “adaptive” personality as she changed six schools and lived in different parts of the country as a child. She further stated that her motto in life is to accept change and embrace what every moment offers you.
Now that she’s been crowned Miss Diva Universe 2022, she wants to work to make education accessible to all children. Her inspiration, she says, is her father. She said her father used education as a tool to lift his family out of the financial difficulties they were facing. She firmly believes that education can
human beings and help them achieve whatever they wish.
Divita further stated that she was immensely inspired by Sushmita Sen who crowned Miss Universe in 1994. Besides Sushmita’s strength, Divita is inspired by her “belief in her abilities”.
