Blissful astrology fans blame Facebook crash on Mercury retrograde

[ad_1]

We Australians woke up to the breathtaking news that Facebook, Instagram and Whatsup were suffering from a global blackout.

They seem to be back on track now, but one can’t help but wonder what may have caused this disturbing and unprecedented global shit storm …

Well, the astrology enthusiasts among us weren’t at all surprised when the almighty apps went to hell, because Mercury Retrograde kicked off exactly one week ago.

The dreaded astrological period is known to poke fun at three key things in life: communication, travel and, wait it out, TECHNOLOGY.

Oh shit.

Astrologers like me always warn people to allow extra time and practice patience during Mercury retrograde, as technological difficulties are inevitable.

During the hours when Facebook and Instagram were down, astro gurus took to Twitter (which saw a huge spike in traffic because, well, where the hell were FBers and IGers going to post?) to point out that the blackout is likely a symptom of Mercury retrograde, so get used to it.

Mercury Retrograde is scheduled to end on October 18, 2021, so we still have a few weeks of shoddy tech to deal with.

But the good news is it’s the last of 2021, praise the Lord for that!
